My Sassy Girl
My Sassy Girl (2001) is a comedy film based on a set of REAL incidents published by a man called Kim Ho-sik. These stories were then adapted into a best-selling nove. Inspired by the success of the book, a movie followed closely. The movie is centred around the meeting of Kyun-woo (Cha) and an unnamed girl, and how it changes his life.
The movie was extremely well received in South Korea and was subsequently released throughout East Asia, and soon became a mega blockbuster hit and was even drawing comparisons to Titanic!

Windstruck
Windstruck (2004) is a comedy film which was a major success, being ranked as the 8th-highest grossing Korean film of 2004. It's a part fantasy, part comedy film.
The film stars Jun Ji-hyun as Officer Yeo Kyung-jin, an ambitious young female police officer serving on the Seoul police department, and her episodes with Go Myung-woo (played by Jang Hyuk), a physics teacher at an all-girls school.

The film combines romantic comedy with action sequences to keep the viewers absorbed.

200 Pounds Beauty (2006) is a South Korean comedy film based on a Japanese manga, Kanna-San, Daiseikou Desu by Yumiko Suzuki. The movie tells the story of an overweight girl who undergoes extreme plastic surgeries to become a pop sensation. The movie won awards for "Best Film", "Best Actress" and "Best Director" in Grand Bell Awards in South Korea. This is a must-see light hearted movie!
